John Roberts
Project Architect
It was 1990 when John Roberts came to us and immediately became a valued asset to the firm. John at that time was, as we all were then, producing construction drawings "on the boards". It was John who helped guide Halbach Dietz Architects through those beginning years of AutoCad, beginning with version 4, having had prior experience with version 1, 2 & 3. Since that time, John has been a working drawings workhorse, lending his considerable expertise and experience for clients including FWISD, Fort Worth Zoo, Sundance Square Management Company, City of Fort Worth, Fort Worth Country Day, Tarrant County, Fort Worth Housing Authority, Double Creek Capital Company, Ellis & Tinsley, and Conti Warehouse. John’s amiable and easy bed side manner is another reason that our clients enjoy working with John and keep coming back.
Of particular note, is John's documentation and mapping the entire measure of downtown Fort Worth - every building and its history. His website at www.fortwortharchitecture.com showcases his creation, and has a wide variety of visitors including many educators who consult his site regularly for historic information.
Historic preservation is John's continuing passion. He has served on the City of Fort Worth Historic & Cultural Landmarks Commission Designation Committee from 2006 to 2010. For Historic Fort Worth, Inc. he has served as a board member since 2002 and is its current Chairman, having served in that capacity since 2013.
